These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to the website frostsecurityalarms.com (the “Site”) and any request you make for information, quotations, surveys, installation, maintenance, training or support related to home security systems supplied or described by Frost Security Alarms (“Frost”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please leave the Site and do not send personal information.
Frost Security Alarms publishes educational material and packaged illustrations of home alarms, cameras, sensors, video doorbells, smart locks and related household protection. The Site is a static, informational property. Forms on the Site are processed in your browser for demonstration and enquiry capture; they do not by themselves create a binding installation contract. A separate written quotation, once accepted by both parties, forms the contract for paid work.
These Terms apply to visitors, newsletter subscribers, people who request a callback or quote, and anyone who downloads or shares content from the Site. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy. If a signed installation agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed agreement controls for that project only.
You must be old enough under applicable law to enter a contract, and you must use the Site only for lawful household or small-property security enquiries. You agree not to:
We may refuse, pause or ignore an enquiry that appears fraudulent, abusive, or outside the type of home-security work we describe.
Articles, FAQs, package names and camera-count examples are general guidance. Every dwelling is different: construction, glazing, pets, occupancy patterns, lighting and neighbouring buildings change what is appropriate. Nothing on the Site is a guarantee that a crime will be prevented, that an insurer will reduce a premium, or that emergency services will attend. Security reduces risk; it does not eliminate it.
Illustrative prices are packaged equivalents to help you compare layers of protection. They are not a standing offer. Labour, device models, storage options and access equipment can change the figure. Only a written quote states the price we are prepared to honour for a defined scope.
When you submit a quote, callback, newsletter or related form, the Site validates the fields in your browser and displays a confirmation such as: “Thank you. One of our representatives will contact you.” That message means we have received a complete client-side form, not that a technician is already travelling, not that a slot is booked, and not that monitoring has begun.
You are responsible for the accuracy of names, emails and optional phone numbers. If you provide a number, you confirm you are authorised to receive a call or message on it. You may leave the phone field empty on the general contact form.
A quotation describes devices, configuration, training and warranty for a stated property sketch. If a later survey reveals hidden constraints (unsuitable walls, interference, missing power, or a layout that does not match the photos), we will pause and agree a variation before extra work proceeds. You may decline the variation and cancel unperformed work according to the quotation’s cancellation clause.
Drawings, aiming diagrams and zone lists remain our intellectual property until the related invoice is paid in full, after which you receive a licence to use them for that household’s operation and maintenance. You may not copy them to outfit other properties without a new agreement.
Cameras, panels, locks and sensors may rely on manufacturer cloud apps, your household broadband, electrical supply and mobile devices. We do not control those third parties. Outages, password resets, app-store changes or manufacturer discontinuations can affect live view or remote alerts. We will explain, at handover, which functions continue during a power cut or a broadband drop, and which do not.
You remain responsible for: keeping app passwords private; issuing and revoking user codes; telling us when occupancy or pets change; and not covering, painting or relocating devices in a way that defeats detection.
We will not specify cameras in bathrooms or in sleeping rooms used as private bedrooms. You agree not to ask us to aim devices into a neighbour’s private living space beyond what is reasonably needed to protect your own approach. You are responsible for informing household members, guests and, where required, workers that recording or doorbell video may occur in the areas you choose to cover.
Two-way audio on doorbells and indoor units must be used lawfully. We do not supply covert in-home audio in private rooms. If local rules require signage for recording, you are responsible for placing it.
Unless a separate monitoring addendum is signed, Frost does not watch your cameras in real time and does not dispatch guards or emergency services. Alerts go to the contacts you configure. You must keep those contacts current. A missed notification caused by a silenced phone, full mailbox, or revoked app permission is not a breach of these Terms.
If work proceeds, you must provide safe access, working electrical circuits where agreed, and a responsible adult on site. You must tell us about asbestos concerns, fragile surfaces, alarm systems already in force, and animals that may be distressed by drilling. We may stop work if conditions are unsafe.
After handover you must perform ordinary care: walk-tests, battery attention on wireless devices, keeping lenses reasonably clean, and not disabling tamper circuits. Failure to maintain the system can void the workmanship warranty for the affected part.
Workmanship warranties, where offered, cover our labour for the period stated in the quotation. Manufacturer warranties on devices are provided by those manufacturers. Warranties do not cover: storm damage, attempted forced removal, unauthorised modifications, paint over sensors, pest damage, or ordinary battery consumption. No warranty promises that an intrusion, fire, leak or theft will not occur.
The Frost name, shield mark, layout, copy, photographs we commissioned, and original diagrams are owned by Frost or our licensors. You may browse and share links to public pages. You may not copy the Site as a competing template, scrape the text for generative training in bulk, or remove trademarks from screenshots used commercially without permission. Unsplash and other licensed photographs remain subject to their own licences.
Optional newsletters share home-security guidance and product notes. You can subscribe and unsubscribe from dedicated pages linked in the footer. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails to that address; it does not delete project files needed for an active installation or warranty query. Transactional messages about a live enquiry may still be sent until that enquiry is closed.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Frost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary losses, including lost recordings, lost profits, or emotional distress arising from Site use, delayed replies, or a security event at a property. Our total liability related to the Site itself shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for website-related services in the three months before the claim, or a nominal amount where no fee was paid. This does not exclude liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by our proven negligence in on-site work governed by a signed contract.
Home security involves residual risk. You should maintain sensible physical measures (locks, lighting, neighbour awareness) alongside any electronic system.
You agree to indemnify Frost against claims arising from: your misuse of cameras or audio; your failure to inform household members; your unlawful targeting of neighbours; or content you submit that is defamatory or infringing.
Social icons and outbound links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party sites, their privacy practices, or their availability. Icons that point to “#” are placeholders until official profiles are published.
We may update pages, packages, photographs and these Terms. The “last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for future visits. For an already accepted quotation, the documents attached to that quotation continue to apply unless both parties agree otherwise.
We may suspend access to forms or the Site for maintenance, abuse, or legal reasons. We have no obligation to keep historical pages available forever.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of frostsecurityalarms.com, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would choose another system. Courts with competent jurisdiction over that operator may hear disputes, unless applicable consumer law gives you a right to bring claims in another forum. Before filing, please write to contact@frostsecurityalarms.com with a clear description of the issue so we can try to resolve it directly.
If a clause is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any accepted quotation together are the entire agreement for website use and, where applicable, the described project. No website banner or social post amends them unless we publish an updated policy page.
Send notices about these Terms by email to contact@frostsecurityalarms.com with the subject line “Terms of Service”. Do not include payment card numbers in email.
Thank you for reading these Terms carefully. Thoughtful home protection starts with clear expectations — about what a system can do, and about how we will work with your household if you choose to proceed.
