This Privacy Policy explains how Frost Security Alarms (“Frost”, “we”, “us”) treats information connected with frostsecurityalarms.com and with home-security enquiries. Home protection is a trust business. Cameras, doorbells and alarm apps can reveal when a house is empty, who visits, and how a family moves through rooms. We therefore describe not only website forms, but also the kinds of household data that arise if you later proceed with a system.
This Site currently uses client-side forms only. When you submit a form, your browser validates the fields and shows a confirmation. Until a live processing service is connected, details you type are not automatically stored on our servers by this website. If you also send the same information by email to contact@frostsecurityalarms.com, that email is processed as described below.
Frost Security Alarms is the controller of personal data collected through the Site and through email enquiries about home alarms, CCTV, sensors, video doorbells and smart locks. Questions can be sent to contact@frostsecurityalarms.com with the subject “Privacy”.
When the Site is served from a host, standard server logs may include IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate time. We do not use those logs to build advertising profiles. If a future analytics tool is added, this Policy will be updated before it is switched on.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, government identity numbers, or live video feeds through these pages. Never paste recorder passwords into a web form. Share credentials only through the secure method described at handover, if you become a client.
We use personal data to:
We do not sell personal data. We do not rent newsletter lists. We do not use enquiry photos as marketing case studies unless you give separate, documented permission.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: taking steps at your request before a contract; performing a contract for installation or support; legitimate interests in answering enquiries and securing our Site; consent for optional newsletters; and legal obligation for tax or claims records. You may withdraw consent for marketing without affecting a live project.
If you install a system, video and audio generated by your devices are typically stored on equipment in your dwelling, on a manufacturer cloud account in your name, or both. Frost is not the owner of that footage. You decide retention days, who may log in, and when indoor cameras are covered or scheduled off.
We will not specify cameras in bathrooms or private bedrooms. You should tell everyone who lives in or regularly works in the home which approaches are recorded. Aiming a camera into a neighbour’s private living space beyond what is reasonably needed to protect your own boundary is your responsibility to avoid. During installation we may view a live image solely to focus, set motion zones and confirm night vision; we do not keep those alignment clips unless you ask us to store a commissioning sample as part of the handover pack.
Alarm event logs (arm, disarm, zone open) may be visible to support staff if you grant remote diagnostics. We access the minimum needed to fix a fault and record that access in the job note.
The Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children through these forms. A parent or guardian should submit household enquiries. Indoor cameras should never be used in a way that captures children in private washing or changing areas.
This static Site does not set advertising cookies. Your browser may store ordinary settings such as a completed form field while the tab is open. If we later add a cookie banner for analytics or media embeds, we will describe each category and wait for a choice where the law requires it. Third-party fonts or icon libraries loaded from public CDNs may receive your IP address as part of delivering the file; those providers have their own policies.
We share data only with:
We do not share doorbell clips or floor sketches with marketers. We do not post identifiable customer interiors on social media without permission.
Email and, if used later, hosting or manufacturer clouds may store data in more than one country. Where a transfer law applies, we use appropriate safeguards offered by the provider or by contract. Manufacturer apps you choose to create are governed by that manufacturer’s privacy notice, which you should read before connecting cameras to a cloud.
Video on your recorder follows the days you configure. We do not remotely extend retention without your instruction.
We use access-limited mailboxes, unique credentials for staff, and a policy against requesting your app password by casual email. No method is perfect. You should treat floor plans and camera maps as sensitive: they show how a home can be approached. Store handover PDFs with the same care you give spare keys.
If we become aware of a breach that risks your rights, we will notify you and, where the law requires, the relevant authority, with a description of what happened and the steps we are taking.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port personal data, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise a right, email contact@frostsecurityalarms.com from the address you used, and describe the request. We may need to verify it is you. Marketing opt-out is always available via the Unsubscribe page.
Some records cannot be deleted immediately if they are required for a live warranty, an unpaid invoice, or a legal claim. We will explain if that is the case.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. Package names on the pricing page are illustrations, not a credit or underwriting score.
Links and social icons may lead to other organisations. Their privacy notices apply once you leave frostsecurityalarms.com. Placeholder social links that point to “#” do not transmit data.
Please do not include in a first enquiry: details of ongoing personal threats, medical conditions of occupants, or the hiding places of valuables. Share only what is needed to size a system (for example, “we want the side gate covered because parcels are left there”). Extra sensitive facts can be discussed later through a method we agree with you.
Staff who enter homes are instructed to avoid photographing family members, children’s rooms, or documents left on tables except as needed to show a completed mount. Commissioning photos should show devices and sight-lines, not faces, wherever practical.
We will update this page when our practices change — for example if forms begin sending data to a server. The “last updated” date will change. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
Privacy requests: contact@frostsecurityalarms.com. We do not publish a physical street address on this Site. If a regulator or court requires a postal channel, we will provide it in correspondence to the requester who has a lawful need.
Protecting a home includes protecting the information about that home. Thank you for reading this Policy before you send floor details, family routines or camera plans.
